Terms & Conditions: Vantage Markets x McGettigan’s Trading Competition

1. Event Overview

The Vantage Markets x McGettigan’s Trading Competition will take place exclusively at McGettigan’s JLT venue, legally known as McGettigans DMCC. Participants will join a demo trading contest using the Vantage Markets mobile app.

2. Promotion Period

2.1. Registration Time: 7.30pm – 7.45pm (GMT+4), subject to change.
2.2. Contest Time: 7.45pm – 9:35pm.

3. Eligibility

3.1. Participants who are at least 21 years old and above.
3.2. New registrants who have never registered for an account under Vantage.

4. Participation Requirements

  • 4.1. Scan the QR code;
  • 4.2. Download the Vantage App;
  • 4.3. Register for a demo account with Vantage with a virtual fund of USD$100,000;
    • 4.3.1. Registration will open from 7.30pm – 7.45pm (GMT+4)
  • 4.4. Trade with the demo account when the contest starts.

5. Trading Rules

  • 5.1. All trades must be made using the demo account created through the QR code.
  • 5.2. Demo accounts created before the registration period will not be considered as eligible accounts.
  • 5.3. Only accounts that started with USD$100,000 virtual funds at the start of the contest will be eligible.
  • 5.4. Vantage Markets has the right to reset demo account balances during or after the event to ensure fair play. Balances will not be increased or reduced manually.
  • 5.5. Using automated tools or trading bots is not allowed.
  • 5.6. Neither Vantage Markets nor McGettigans DMCC requires participants to deposit money. All trades are to be done using demo accounts pre-loaded with $100,000 in virtual funds, which is not real money.
  • 5.7. Making a monetary deposit for personal trading or opening a live trading account is entirely at the sole discretion of the participant.

6. Live Account Option

6.1. Opening a Vantage Markets live account is optional and completely up to the participant. This contest requires opening a demo account. Opening and depositing money on a live Vantage Markets trading account is optional and completely up to the participant. Live trading is not required to enter or participate in the contest.
6.2. No money is being asked, collected, or required to participate.

7. IB Link and Registration

7.1. All demo accounts registered via the QR code will be linked to the official IB partner for the event.
All demo accounts will be registered under a single IB1923221 partner for the event.

8. Data Collection

8.1. Names, email addresses, and phone numbers of participants will be shared only with McGettigans DMCC, the official event partner IB1923221, and Vantage Markets sales representative.
8.2. This data will only be used for event purposes and follow-ups related to the contest.

9. Winners and Prizes

  • 9.1. After each trading round, the top 3 traders (based on profit in USD) and their demo account balances will be displayed on venue screens by McGettigan’s tech team at the end of each round.
  • 9.2. At the end of the event, the final top 3 overall winners will be selected based on total profit during the contest.
  • 9.3. Prizes will be distributed on the day of the event itself.

10. Support & Monitoring

  • 10.1. McGettigan’s will provide staff to help participants register and make sure trades are closed at the end of each round.
  • 10.2. Vantage Markets may disqualify anyone found using unfair methods.
  • 10.3. Participants whose demo accounts still have exactly $100,000 in virtual funds at the end of each round will be disqualified for not participating or placing any trades.

11. Other Brokers’ IBs

11.1. If a winner is also an IB for another broker, they must inform the organizers.
11.2. They may be asked to sign a waiver with a non-compete clause before being featured on stage or in event materials.

12. Important Notes

  • 12.1. This is not a raffle.
  • 12.2. It is a skill-based competition. Participants are expected to trade using real strategies, including technical and fundamental analysis.
  • 12.3. Vantage Markets will never request or accept any payment to join or participate in the event.
